I'm Steve MacDonald, an education enthusiast and the C2T creator. I started this site in hopes that it would become a valuable resource-sharing platform for others who share my passion for teaching.

          My educational philosophy can be distilled into two succinct ideas. The first can be found at the bottom of every page here at C2T. It reminds us to lead by example — not simply to tell, but to show. Self-betterment is at the heart of this idea, and it's the reason I recently completed the Master of Teaching program at the University of Toronto.

          The second philosophy is the eponym of this site. The core idea was first shared with me in adage form by my mother — Children don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. I've seen the truth of these words time and time again in the classroom. The importance of genuine care, of authentic relationship development, to effective teaching has been born out in considerable evidence-based literature.
